What the price covers, what happens if something is shut, and how cancellation works.

Tours are operated by Asoko-Rantau (ランタウ東京株式会社) of Tokyo, travel licence 3-7752, hire licence 関自旅二第899号, trading as Slow Roads Japan. Card payments are taken by Asoko Limited of Hong Kong, so that is the name you will see on your statement. Both are named in full in the footer of every page.
The price you are quoted is for the private vehicle and an English-speaking driver-guide for the day, including fuel, tolls, parking and the driver's expenses. It is a price per group, not per person, and it does not change with the stops you pick.
It does not include admission to any ticketed attraction, meals, or anything you buy on the day. Those are yours to pay. Where we know a stop is ticketed we say so, and we quote the likely admission before you confirm.
Submitting a form on this site is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. A tour is confirmed when we have replied to say so and payment has been taken. Until then nothing is held.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tour's start time, with a full refund. Inside 24 hours we cannot refund the day, because the vehicle and the driver-guide are committed to you and to nobody else.
If we cancel, for any reason, you are refunded in full.
We plan around the failure cases because they happen. Mount Fuji is often in cloud. Venues close on irregular days, some are seasonal, and some sell out. Roads close.
Where an attraction is not run by us we cannot guarantee admission, opening or availability, and we do not promise a view that depends on the weather. If a stop is shut or sold out on the day, your driver-guide will suggest an alternative and the tour price does not change. Admission you have already paid to a third party is a matter between you and them.
Child car seats are provided and fitted at no extra cost. Tell us the ages and approximate weights when you book so the right seats are in the vehicle before we arrive. We need this to carry your children lawfully and safely, and we may not be able to run the tour if seat requirements are not given.
Children remain the responsibility of the accompanying adult throughout the day, including at every stop.
Be ready at the pick-up point at the agreed time, tell us in advance about anything that affects the day, and follow the driver-guide's instructions on safety. A tour is a fixed number of hours; time lost at the start is time lost from the day.
A driver-guide may end a tour without a refund if anyone in the group behaves in a way that is unsafe or abusive. This has not happened, and we do not expect it to.
Vehicle capacities are listed per vehicle and large cases count. We take care of what you bring, but belongings are carried at your own risk and we ask you not to leave valuables in the vehicle.
Tell your driver-guide on the day if you can, and email hello@asokotrip.com either way. We would much rather fix it than read about it later.
